Lead Technical Writer

Role:
The incumbent will develop and maintain Operations related documentation in support of RasGas Management Systems (RGEE), coordinates with RGEE Owners and Administrators; they will supervise and steward a team of Technical Writers, developing Operating & Maintenance procedures and associated competency assessment packages, and also directs and advise Senior Writers in work related processes and requirements.

Qualification/Education:
Applicants for this role must have at least 10 - 15 years prior experience in Oil & Gas facilities (or similar) in Operations or maintenance leadership capacity, together with a minimum of 5 years experience in developing Operating & Maintenance procedures or similar documents, they should be a proficient user of Microsoft and other related software and applications with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals e.g. P & IDs, PFDs, Isometrics, Single Line Diagrams, plot plans and vendor manuals, and be able to produce technically accurate, complete and easy to understand documents. Candidates should have an excellent command of English language.

Senior Technical Writer

Role:
The incumbent will develop and maintain Operations related documentation in support of RasGas Management Systems, provide guidance and support to Procedure Writers whilst working within a team environment.

Qualification/Education:
Applicants for this role must have at least 5 - 10 years prior experience in Oil & Gas facilities (or similar) in Operations or maintenance leadership capacity; together with a minimum of 3 years experience in developing Operating & Maintenance procedures or similar documents, they should be a proficient user of Microsoft and other related software and applications with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals e.g. P & IDs, PFDs, Isometrics, Single Line Diagrams, plot plans and vendor manuals, and be able to produce technically accurate, complete and easy to understand documents. Candidates should have an excellent command of English language.

Technical Writer

Role:
To develop and maintain Operations related documentation in support of RasGas Management Systems.

Qualification/Education:
Applicants for this role must have at least 5 - 10 years prior experience in Oil & Gas facilities (or similar) in Operations or maintenance leadership capacity, they should be a proficient user of Microsoft and other related software and applications with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals e.g. P & IDs, PFDs, Isometrics, Single Line Diagrams, plot plans and vendor manuals, and be able to produce technically accurate, complete and easy to understand documents. Candidates should have an excellent command of English language.

Procedures & Competency Coordinator

Role:
Coordinate implementation and ongoing maintenance of RasGas Management Systems (RGEE) in accordance with the Competency Assurance Standard, in addition they will be expected to assist RGEE team in developing and maintaining user related guides and procedures, and to ensure all Operations personnel are trained and aware of their responsibilities in relation to Competency Assurance, they will liaise with Lead Technical Writers.

Qualification/Education:
Applicants should have a minimum of 15 - 20 years prior experience in Oil & Gas facilities (or similar) in Operations or maintenance leadership capacity together with an expert knowledge of Management Systems e.g. OIMS or similar and Competency Assurance e.g. CAS, they should be experienced in producing management reports and presentations. Because of the nature of this role an excellent command of both written and verbal English is required.

Delegates from RasGas will be conducting interviews locally in early September for the above four positions.

RasGas is engaged in the business of production and sale of Liquefied Natural Gas and related hydrocarbon products. At present, the company operates a five-train onshore facility at Ras Laffan, which is about 80km north of the capital city; Doha, in the State of Qatar.

The Company, as part of its expansion programme, is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified personnel for the following positions:

Planning Engineer

Role:
Provide planning and scheduling support for asset and project work activities through close liaison with the Project Engineers, Unit Engineers, Maintenance, and Operations personnel. Responsible for providing support to asset and project teams in term of planning activities and activity calendars, management of asset opportunity lists, and schedule support for the various projects gates through detailed schedule developments, monitoring, and controls.

Qualification/Education:
Engineering Degree with minimum 10 years diversified experience in Oil & Gas industries in the area of operations, maintenance, projects and engineering. Minimum 5 years in the area of planning and scheduling processes. Special knowledge in planning tools (i.e. Primavera and MS project) is a requirement.

Cost Engineer

Role:
Provide Cost Engineering expertise and develop Cost Estimation system for Operations group. Conduct Cost analysis, cost control and monitoring of Operations OPEX & CAPEX budgets. Responsible for developing various cost estimates levels for various projects and yearly programs. Responsible for providing asset unit cost analysis.

Qualification/Education:
Engineering Degree with minimum 10 years diversified experience in Oil & Gas industries in the area of operations, maintenance, projects and engineering. Minimum 5 years in the area of cost estimation and control processes. Special knowledge in and costing and reporting tools (i.e. SAP System and Primavera) is a requirement. International Certification in Cost Engineering is highly desirable.

Contracts Engineer

Role:
Provide contracts engineering & administration support to operations group. Work as a focal point for administering operations short ad long term contracts including major Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance contracts. Provide expertise and advice in tendering and contracting strategies and assist in tender development and bed evaluations. Implement systems and procedures to allow for effective procurement, analysis, and administration of all contracts in support of the effective operations of the onshore & offshore facilities.

Qualification/Education:
Engineering Degree with minimum 10 years diversified experience in Oil & Gas industries in the area of operations, maintenance, projects and engineering. Minimum 5 years in the area of procurement, contracts law, and contacts administration. Knowledge in SAP ESM or equivalent tools is highly desirable.

Quantity Surveyor

Role:
Provide quantity surveying services for capital projects. Provide continuous quantity surveying of contract services and materials quantity installed of the various disciplines of civil, mechanical, instruments, and electrical. Provide cost estimation and verification of projects, change orders, and contractor’s estimates and quotes.

Qualification/Education:
Engineering or Quantity Surveying Degree with minimum 10 years experience in Oil & Gas industries in the area of projects and engineering. Minimum 5 years in the area of quantity surveying and cost estimation and control. Special knowledge in costing, tracking and reporting tools (i.e. SAP System and Primavera).

Cost Controller

Role:
Analyze, monitor and control all Operations group OPEX & CAPEX budgets and programs. Responsible invoice verification, cost allocation, coding, accruals, and other related accounting and controlling procedures. Responsible for variance analysis, reporting and stewardship of operations group costs and budgets.

Qualification/Education:
Engineering or Accounting Degree with minimum 8 years experience in Oil & Gas industries in the area of operations, maintenance, and projects. Minimum 5 years in the area of cost controlling, accounting, auditing, and budgets administration. Special knowledge in cost reporting system and tools mainly SAP ESM and SAP FI/CO modules. CPA certification or equivalent is a requirement.
