Asia Sales Director- Optical Transmission Equipment

Our client is a rapidly growing corporation that designs and manufactures Optical Transmission equipment, especially SDH/SONET/OTN, for emerging markets. It has had remarkable success and growth in the recent years which has prompted the company to expand globally, including Asia.



To lead the sales and marketing function in Asia, our client is interested in recruiting a senior, high-caliber professional from the optical networking industry to join the team as :



Asia Sales Director (Optical Transmission Equipment)

Job Code : Telecom/ASD-OTE/0208/MO

Location : Singapore



Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will provide overall leadership to the Sales and Marketing functions in Asia, with a particular focus on Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.



He/she will be responsible for building the required teams to manage both direct sales in different countries; and interface with product engineering and operations for strategy development, execution and delivery.



He/she will develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for key telecom operators in these countries, develop alliances with local channel partners, oversee development of requisite documentation and presentation materials, and implement strong Key Account Management practices.



Requirements:



· Candidates must be experienced (at least 15 years of relevant experience) technical sales leaders.

· A graduate/post graduate qualification in Engineering in EE or Telecommunications from a premier institute.

· Strong exposure to selling Optical Transmission products and solutions, especially SDH/SONET/OTN, ROADM, Interconnects, Metro Ethernet and NMS

· Strong sales leadership and team-building abilities.

· Entrepreneurial skills, maturity, high level of energy and resourcefulness, ability to travel frequently and to work with multi-ethnic teams

· Strong English communication and presentation skills.

· Strong multi-tasking, coordination and project management abilities
