Team Leader Geo-Information Management

Responsibilities:

The leader of the of the Geo-Information Management (GIM) team is part of EPA’s Geomatics department of about 30 staff with the main office in Miri and representation in China, New Zealand and Australia. The main purpose of the position is to provide Geo-Information and Geographical Information System (GIS) advice and services. The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day planning, coordination and management of the following activities:

To lead the GIM team and provide GIM advice and services to relevant clients and departments;
To implement and maintain corporate spatial databases in line with groupstandards for EPA’s surface and subsurface assets maintained at theMiri hub and relevant EPA sites;
To ensure spatial integrity of the geo-information for EPA’s assets (seismic, wells, infrastructure) in relevant databases and derived map data;
To provide access and links to relevant global databases;
In consultation with the various end users implement and maintain group recommended spatial data access, integration and mapping tools;

1. Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Mechanical, Rotating and Assistant Engineers in maintenance activities including strategy planning, troubleshooting, improvement to work methods and HSEQ matters related to maintenance;
Lead and manage team in reviewing/witnessing pre start up tests prior to acceptance from the construction team;
Provide leadership in managing mechanical contractors and plan and control section’s maintenance yearly budget;
Mentor and coach the team in mechanical engineering knowledge and skills;
Manage, lead and execute plant changes and projects.


Requirements:

Diploma with Minimum 8 Years of experience or BEng degree (Mechanical) with minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a petrochemical manufacturing site/qualification;
Possess direct experience in more than 2 major turnarounds or shutdowns
Possess basic design experience and skills;
Preferably has ethylene cracker experience.


2. Assistant Instrument Engineer


Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day maintenance and/or troubleshooting for all instrument engineering related matters;
Manage and supervise contractors’ staff in carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance works and ensure optimum usage of contractor manpower, and central maintenance workshop;
Prepare job specifications and costing for works involved and be involved in the issuance of work order contracts to contractors;
Prioritise, schedule and conduct timely maintenance on all instrumentation works;
Plan and execute plant changes, plants Turnaround work and minor instrument related projects;
Ensure that all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes.


Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience or Diploma with 6-8 years of experience;
Possess 6 - 8 years of relevant instrumentation working experience;
Required to perform duty in emergency cases.


3. Assistant Furnace Engineer


Responsibilities:

To ensure repair and maintenance of furnaces are executed safely and properly in a timely manner and within budget;
To carry out root cause analysis and improvement to the technical availability of the furnaces;
To participate actively in RCM assessments related to the furnaces and its auxiliary equipment.


Requirements:

You should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Structural Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in the oil refinery or petrochemical industry;
A Diploma with minimum 5 years of experience in oil refinery or petrochemical industry will also be considered.
You should have knowledge in gas and liquid furnaces and auxiliary equipment such as burners/transfer line exchangers and knowledge in refractory and insulation.

Requirements:

-Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree,Professional Degree in Engineering (Marine), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.

-Carry out appraisal for Master and Chief Engineer before signing off from the vessel under his care and provide recommendations and feedback on the performance and suitability to Crewing Dept and Technical Mgr.
